Anyone is eligible to pick up fresh produce and protein Friday, February 19, at Credit Island Park, 2200 West River Drive in Davenport. The entrance to the park is on the south side of West River Drive.

Hours will remain the same, starting at 11 a.m. and continuing until 4:30 p.m., or until supplies run out.

According to OurQuadCities.com, Virtual Technology Group (VTG), an all-volunteer local organization that operates the Quad Cities distribution, says they've seen more families turning to the program for help since the food box giveaway started in October 2020.

The organization has given away 20,000 boxes of free food to thousands of local families affected economically by the COVID-19 pandemic. Anyone in the Quad Cities can pick up groceries for free. They will continue to distribute food weekly to those in need.

We're glad they do. Please share this post to anyone you think might need a little help right now.
