It’s Been Hot In Iowa, But Was It Hot Enough To Melt A Traffic Light?

There's no doubt that all of Iowa has been feeling the heat and humidity as of late, with temps reaching the 80's and 90's, but did the heat cause this Altoona traffic light to melt?

The traffic light was not a victim of the heat, but instead, a truck that caught fire underneath it, according to the Iowa Department of Transportation's Facebook page. Still, it's not out of the realm of possibility for heat to cause problems, and we know that it definitely has an effect on our moods. It's hard to be cheery when every inch of your body is sweating.

According to the Weather Channel, temps will once again rise into the 90's this week, with highs topping out at a scorching 95 on Friday. Stay safe and try to find some AC so that you can avoid looking like that sad traffic light.
