It’s Official: I’m a Muber [VIDEO AND PICS]

Some people are starting to call the soccer mom by a new term: Muber. I couldn't agree more. It all comes from this new service called Uber that might be making its way to the Quad Cities. Have you heard about it yet? Uber is basically an app-friendly taxi service. Through the app, you can either contact a driver to get a ride, or you can become a driver and earn some extra cash by shuttling others.

I got a chance to ride in an Uber for the first time when I was visiting Hollywood last year. The ride was all set up for me, and when the driver arrived to pick me up, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't at least a little shocked. My driver looked like he was in the mafia! He was driving a big, black Cadillac with a giant trunk, and I thought for sure I was going to end up inside of it. I almost refused the ride, but my friend assured me that everything would be fine and I was just being ridiculous.

Anyway, Uber might end up here in the QCA. It ended up being a pretty good service and a super cool app. It just made me nervous because pretty much anybody can be an Uber driver, and you never know who you're going to get. I practically feel like an Uber driver myself with all the places I'm constantly driving my kids to in my mom-Uber. So I guess it's official, I'm a Muber!
