I've been training for weeks in preparation for this 5k. (See pics below). Ya see, it's my very first one and it has been on my bucket list for several years now. I just didn't expect Insane Inflatables 5K to be THIS fun! What a great way to run a race without it feeling like it is one! If you haven't joined yet, join my 11:30 a.m. wave and be a part of my team. Consider yourself personally invited. Get a load of these obstacles!

My trainer, Allen from Krave Fitness and Personal Training, has been helping me build my strength up so my body functions and works smarter, not harder. He knew going in to our training that I was very new to a lot of weight loss and wanted to set some healthy goals for myself. Healthy, yeah, that is the word. Not rippped (yet). Not unrealistic. Just, everyday, making choices that will help me feel my best!

I do strength training with him a couple times a week and almost always try to get cardio in. I do some of my routine with him at home and more recently, my kiddos have taken an interest in working out, so I let them tell me what to do! And let me tell you, 50 burpees wear me out! They drive me much harder than I have ever driven myself and I wouldn't have it any other way. I have got my mile down to 9 mins and 2 in about 20. When I get it in under 20, I am super happy. That is a far cry from where I used to be!
