There has been reaction on both ends of the spectrum regarding the upcoming divorce of country music's power couple, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert.

I have some thoughts about a lot of the reaction I've been seeing and hearing.

As a single 23-year old with parents who are still married, I have no idea what it's like to go through divorce in any way, shape, or form.

With that being said, I know for a fact it's not easy and those going through it are also going through one of the toughest times in their lives.

I DJ weddings on the weekends, and Blake's 2011 hit "God Gave Me You" is STILL requested often for the bride and groom's first dance, and you can bet if they have a slide show or video package that song will be in there.

It's sad to think, while many are starting their lives together with that song, the performer and his wife are about to finalize the end of their life together.

So, instead of spouting anger or hatred at the two for being "yet another" celebrity couple to call it quits, I hope you'll join me in sending condolences and good vibes in their direction by commenting here or on our Facebook page.

Thanks,

- Jay
