LeClaire Speed Cameras Up, Not Running (Yet)

You've seen them, I hope.  Cameras like the one pictured above have been installed on the approach to Le Claire on US 67 from Davenport.  You may have also noticed the previous speed limit increased in that same area from 45 to 50 MPH.

What hasn't happened yet, and won't likely happen until early January 2021 according to the LeClaire Police, are citations from these big brother-ish driving watchdogs.

So consider yourself warned.  You have a month or so to get used to the idea of these cams before they go online.  Visitors to our fine Antiques-by-the-Mississippi day trip?  Not so much.
