Luke Bryan turned 40 on Sunday (July 17) while in Maine for his Kill the Lights Tour, and his friends and fellow tourmates Little Big Town and Dustin Lynch didn't let his big day go unnoticed.

During Bryan's set in Bangor, Maine, each act came out on stage and conducted the audience in a singalong of "Happy Birthday" while a cake topped with an image of Bryan photoshopped onto a Chippendales dancer’s body was rolled out on the stage. That was Caroline's genius.

The superstar's wife was in attendance at the show, so he got plenty of birthday kisses, as well as a shower of champagne sprayed at him from the crew, who were dressed up in costumes. In the three-minute clip above, fans can watch the festivities unravel as Lynch continually sneaks tastes of the cake. Later, he helped Bryan pop open a bottle of champagne. (You can see more pictures from the show here.)

Bryan's birthday cake was made by local bakery Cake Concoctions, who raved about the experience making the dessert on their Facebook page.

“[It was] such a surreal experience for the staff,” owner Basant Paradis admits in a Facebook post. “Our staff was amazing and absolutely worked as a team to bring this cake together.”

In an interview with Culture Shock, Paradis says the three-tier Guinness chocolate cake with Bailey's Irish Cream frosting and a Jameson ganache was decorated in flames and the photoshopped image of Bryan as a Chippendales dancer appeared to be bursting out of the cake. Bryan later autographed the image and gave it back to the Cake Concoctions staff.

The cake read “Happy 40th Shelbo,” which is the nickname Bryan’s band gave to him early in his career. As a reward for making the cake, the entire Cake Concoctions staff were given tickets and backstage passes to Bryan's show.

This year's birthday cake was a step up from last year's. As it turns out, Bryan's wife has quite the sense of humor — see the dessert she ordered last year!
