Medical Marijuana Dispensaries Open in Illinois

Eight dispensaries across the state of Illinois have begun selling Medical Marijuana.

This is just reportedly the first wave of dispensaries to open.  Officials say several more will be registered by the end of the month and over 25 will be registered by the end of 2015.

The closest dispensary to the Quad Cities right now resides in Ottawa, but there is currently one awaiting approval near Stern Beverage in Milan.

Over 3,000 people statewide have a medical condition that qualifies for cannabis treatment.
