A memorial for the missing girl who's remains were found near DeWitt last week is being held today in Davenport.

Davenport Police announced yesterday the human remains found in a pond outside of DeWitt was that of missing 10 year-old, Breasia Terrell. She had been missing since last July.

A memorial is being held for the little girl at 6 pmThursday, April 1 in Centennial Park, downtown Davenport.

According to OurQuadCities.com, anyone interested in attending is encouraged to bring:

  • Purple candles
  • Purple teddy bears
  • White roses or purple flowers
  • Posters and photos to leave behind

Organizers ask that you stay for the entire ceremony, wear masks and practice social distancing. A prayer vigil will follow.
