When it comes to driving through flooding or high water be careful. Remember to turn around don't drown. FEMA says flooding is the leading cause of severe weather-related deaths in the United States. Most of the deaths occur in vehicles people have tried to drive through flooded roadways.
Six inches of fast moving flood water can knock over an adult. And it only takes a foot to a foot and a half of water to carry away a vehicle, including a large SUV. So the best advice, don't try and drive through a flooded roadway.
