Moline Trash Hauler Catches Fire, Dumps Trash in the Street

Usually, the best way to get rid of the trash smell is to take it outside.  But what if you couldn't escape it?!?

That was the case for residents on 9th Street between 17th and 18th Avenue this morning.

A trash hauler caught fire while on its' pickup route, and was forced to dump all of the trash into the street!

It happened around earlier today around 10 a.m.

After a few hours, the debris was cleaned up by heavy equipment.

Nobody was reported injured, but I can't imagine the smells around the area were too enjoyable.
