Last week's tornadoes took an unexpected turn, putting more communities in danger.

Is it true that tornadoes can't hop a river? I used to think so. In fact, I always felt a little safer knowing that. I just didn't think it would or could sustain the energy necessary to keep spinning once it hits the water. Boy, was I so very wrong.

This was me reaching out from my bathtub last week.

The tornado that was headed for LeClaire, IA. last week, did just that. It turned East and left LeClaire untouched. Instead, it went East towards Moline and Port Byron.

"People want to feel safe where they are so they look for reasons, but in the end it's what you do that helps keep you safe,"
