In a virtual event Thursday, Orchestra Iowa announced that a new season will start on September 18.

The (very) long-awaited season begins

According to the Cedar Rapids Gazette, "Brucemorchestra", on the lawn of the historic Brucemore mansion at 2160 Linden Dr. SE will be the first concert played by the group in 560 days!

Historically popular events and fun shows highlight the season

Orchestra Iowa joins forces with Revival Theatre Company, Cedar Rapids Concert Chorale, and other local singers and dancers to stage an evening of Rodgers and Hammerstein musical theater hits — from “The Sound of Music” and “The King and I” to “South Pacific” and “Oklahoma.”

Who ya gonna call?

Other highlighted events include a fun show in October that features the movie "Ghostbusters" on the big screen at the Paramount Theatre, with Orchestra Iowa playing along to the soundtrack to the movie on stage. That event takes place on October 30.
