KWQC reports 21 cats were removed from a home in Bettendorf last week.

The Humane Society of Scott County coordinated the rescue with help from the Bettendorf Police Department.

The Humane Society shared in a Facebook post that the cats were living in a hoarding situation and needed immediate medical care upon their removal.

The Humane Society is now trying to secure funds to help vaccinate, spay, neuter, provide medical testing, and more for these cats, in hopes of re-homing the animals in the coming months. So far, the organization has raised around $575.
