Partial Bridge Closure This Week on I-280

It wouldn't be another week in the Quad Cities without a bridge delay.

That's a pretty accurate statement. Given we have numerous bridges here, there's always the upkeep, rebuild or occasional inspection or cleaning that's part of bridge maintenance.

According to WQAD.com,

"The Illinois Department of Transportation has released a statement outlining a plan to close the eastbound lane of the Interstate 280 bridge on Monday, September 9th."

This closure will take place all week and is expected to end on Friday, September 13th.

If you travel this bridge, you will need to reroute or be prepared for delays. IDOT warns to slow down, keep an eye out for workers and use caution when traveling through active work zones.
