Do you have a loved one who has been affected by cancer? I do. My wife is a cancer survivor and two of my family members lost their battle with Ovarian Cancer. I bet you know someone too. The Mallards' are inviting us to paint the names of loved ones who have, or are battling cancer on the ice at the TaxSlayer Center until 9PM tonight. There's no charge to do it and the Mallards will leave the names in the ice for the Mallards' games Friday and Saturday.

That's not all the team is doing to battle cancer. They'll be wearing pink sweaters on the ice this weekend which will be auctioned off to benefit the Genesis Health Services Foundation after the game Saturday Night. They're also donating $5 from every lower bowl (horseshoe) ticket for the games this weekend to: Susan G. Komen, Gilda's Club and NormaLeah Ovarian Cancer Initiative.

The Mallards take on the Indy Fuel Friday at 7:05PM and The Fort Wayne Komets on Saturday at 7:05.
