One of the Quad Cities oldest Mexican markets is expanding, but not how you might think.

The San Luis food market in Silvis opened a restaurant inside the store according to our Local 4 news partners. One of the owners says the inspiration to open a restaurant came after the success of the the market's deli.

The business now serves handmade tortillas, tacos and more to keep up with demand.

Aaron Casas, owner of the supermarket said sometimes customers would just pull up a chair and spend time eating and socializing, so he decided there was a need for an official place to eat. The restaurant is open every day .
