Harry Potter fans are going to love this. The Quad-City Symphony Orchestra’s holiday concert on Saturday, will transport you to Hogwarts; at least in your mind.

According to a QC Times article, the entirety of the movie “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone,” will be screened with audible dialogue and the music removed. The Quad-City Symphony Orchestra  (QCSO), will perform the score live.

This marks a first-of-its kind event for QCSO.

Past holiday pops concerts have featured a variety of guest artists, including members of Cirque de la Symphonie which created holiday-themed routines to accompany the music.

For the 26th annual holiday concert, the orchestra is doing something different.

Two performances are scheduled — at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. Saturday — at the Adler Theatre in downtown Davenport with both performances nearly sold out.

Across the street from the Adler, the wine bar Cru is planning a Harry Potter-themed pop-up bar coinciding with the concert. The special menu features cocktails such as butter beer, polyjuice potion and unicorn blood.
