Quad Citians Raise Record Amount for Children’s Therapy Center

The generosity the QC displays on a regular basis shouldn't be surprising, but sometimes you see a dollar amount that still makes your jaw hit the floor.

During yesterday's WQAD telethon, nearly $230,000 was raised for the Children's Therapy Center of the Quad Cities.

The amount is a new record for the annual event.

In addition to the callers that donated between 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. Sunday, the money was also raised through numerous fundraisers done by local organizations and business and through sponsors.
