Quad Cities (and National) Cinco De Mayo Themed Beers to Drink Today

Looking for a local beer that just screams "CINCO DE MAYO"? Can't decide which national Mexican brew to have today? We've got you covered.

There are PLENTY of options, both local and otherwise, to drink.  Here are our favorites.

1. Bent River Brewery's "Jalapeno Pepper Ale"

Everything you would want in a beer on Cinco De Mayo, spicy yet refreshing.

2. Great River Brewery's "Dos Pistoles"

The only thing Cinco De Mayo themed about this beer is the name.  But it's still really good.  An American style dark wheat with a hint of caramel.  Yum!

3. Corona Extra or Light

Of course, nothing says Cinco De Mayo like the classic.

4. Dos Equis Amber or Lager

We just found out not too long ago "The Most Interesting Man in the World" will be riding off in to the sunset as Dos Equis will begin a new marketing campaign.  What better way to say goodbye to him than by tossing back a green or brown bottle?

5. Modelo Especial 

A Modelo goes perfect with a few tacos, enchiladas or quesadillas.  I speak from personal experience, a lot of personal experience, probably too much personal experience.
