There are three cities in Iowa that made the list of the coldest cities during the winter. Which ones are they?

Of all the cities in the United States that could be considered the coldest (and there are plenty), Iowa has three of the 25 listed. They are: Sioux City, Cedar Rapids and Des Moines. I figured since the Quad Cities are near there, we are even colder. We have to be.

So cold, in fact, it didn't make the list. I swear it. The 'Tundra' is what I call this place in the winter. The winds cut right through your body like a paper cut stings a few minutes later. I loathe the winter months. As I get older, the lack of sunshine and warmth, turns me into a bitter old lady who only wants to wear 'housecoats' and slippers. Less-than-flattering imagery, I know, but I can't help it. I am so frigid in the winter. It can get downright depressing!

We are due to get our first snow Friday. About an inch possible for now, thanks to the Gulf of Alaska spinning the way it is. Ho hum. I am not a fan. The first snow of the year makes me want to hole up in the house and not leave....like ever. I swear, I am turning in to my Dad. He won't leave the house if there is a five percent chance for a snowflake. Seriously. I hate even admitting I am 'being like him' when it comes to the weather. It means... the inevitable is happening. I am getting older and one step closer to being a 'grinch'.

Either that, or I belong on a beach somewhere, like a snow bird. Ya, I think 'beach baby' sounds much better. Now, how can I get my company to let me broadcast live from the beach all winter ....?  ;)
