When the weather gets nicer, ghost hunters come out to find the next big spot where they can prove that ghosts exist. Many amateur ghost hunters start right here in the Midwest since there are so many great spots to "find ghosts."

If you live in the QCA then you're in the perfect spot to track some ghosts and ghouls this year.

Places like Edinburgh Manor are once again open for those who want to explore abandoned asylum. Edinburgh is a bit of a drive from the Quad Cities however, so let's look at some closer spots.

Some other Haunted Quad Cities spots are as follow:

Scott County Bell Tower:

A rumor and local myth says that prisoners were hung in the prison's bell tower many years ago. Some even claim you can see a hanging body in the first window of the bell tower at night.

Oakdale Cemetery:

Graves like "Limb Of Unknown Child" and "Baby Boy Fear" have a long history of ghost stories. locals say If you stand by this section on Halloween night, you can hear the screams of the orphans.

The Black Angel:

Located at Deere tomb in Riverside Cemetery, many say it was struck by lightning, turning it black. Others say that when people visited it they died, though no claim was ever confirmed. The family did take the angle down however due to vandalism.

Crybaby Bridge:

This one has a few rumors from a bus crashing off the bridge to a mother throwing her baby off the bridge. No matter what people think happened, some say if you stop in the middle of the bridge and put your car in neutral, an invisible force will slowly push you safely across the bridge, or even off it!

The Rock 'n' Roll Mansion:

Our very own radio station has countless stories and tales of it being haunted. We even had some ghost hunters call about visiting recently.

As someone who loves ghost stories, I'm hoping to visit more of the spots this summer as the weather gets nicer!

Museums Within Driving Distance of the Quad Cities

"There isn't a museum I won't go to. The stupider, the better."
Michaels' statement this morning sent us into a good hour of discussion about museums within driving distance of the Quad Cities. Our listening family has clued us in on little hole-in-the-wall museums we never even knew existed, and they're just a hop, skip and a jump away from us.
Here's our highlights.
