Snow emergency information from Quad City Area cities and towns will be posted here when received.

Check here for information regarding city services, snow routes, snow removal that could be affected by the winter storm.

Here are the latest snow emergencies:

ILLINOIS

• Coal Valley

Saturday, Dec. 10 at 6 p.m. until Monday, Dec. 12 at 12 p.m.

It is unlawful for any person to allow a vehicle to remain on any village street, avenue, alley, cul-de-sac or village parking lot within the village following a snowfall occurrence of two inches or more.

• Port Byron

Saturday, Dec. 10 at 6 p.m. until Monday, Dec. 12 at 6 a.m.

No parking on village streets.

• Rock Island

The City of Rock Island reminds drivers that parking is not allowed on any marked snow routes until the snow has been cleared, once two or more inches of snow falls. Drivers who leave their vehicles parked in a snow route will be ticketed $35, and could be subject to impound.

Residents are also asked not to park on residential streets until snow removal is completed.

IOWA

• Clinton

Saturday, Dec. 10 at 6 p.m. until all streets are cleared

If vehicles are not removed by 10 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 10, Clinton Police will begin enforcing tickets and/or towing.

• Davenport

Saturday, Dec. 10 at 10 p.m.- Monday, Dec. 12 at 7 a.m.

The City of Davenport has declared a snow emergency based on models and predictions of the National Weather Service.

Because two rounds of snow are possible, the city does not anticipate making a determination about whether a second snow emergency for the Downtown and Hilltop Campus areas will be needed until Monday, December 12th based on actual conditions and snow accumulation.

Parking on posted snow routes during an active snow emergency is prohibited. Vehicles parked on posted snow routes will be ticketed and possibly towed. Residents and visitors in the Downtown may park for free in all three of the city’s parking ramps from Saturday, December 10th at 5 p.m. through Monday, December 12th at 8 a.m.

On all other streets not designated as posted snow routes, park off-street when possible. Parking off-street, and/or coordinating with neighbors to park on one side of the street, helps crews clear roads faster and safely, and prevents you from being plowed in.

For all snow events, crews provide continuous coverage on posted snow routes until they are clear before snow removal takes place on residential roads. While snowfall may end, depending on the event, clearing posted snow routes often takes place for a few to several more hours after snowfall ends. Priority is placed on posted snow routes to help ensure mobility throughout the city and support public safety, especially on highly trafficked roads, roads near hospitals and schools, hills and routes that serve both public and school transportation services.

• Durant

Saturday, Dec. 10 at 3 p.m. until Sunday, Dec. 11 at 6 p.m.
