WARNING: THIS VIDEO CONTAINS STRONG LANGUAGE

If I were to ever get shot, the LAST thing I would think about is going on live television.

Devon Hawkins, of Quincy, decided to tell his story not long after the incident.

Early Friday morning, Hawkins was reportedly in his living room when gunshots came into the house from outside.

Hawkins was struck once in the chest, but luckily his injuries weren't life-threatening.

This is where things get interesting...

Just moments after being patched up by EMTs, Hawkins agreed to speak with local news reporter Reyna Harvey about what happened LIVE on KHQA's morning newscast.

Hawkins was strangely calm during the interview.

Local police are continuing to investigate the incident.
