Gentlemen (and women), start your engines….boogity, boogity, boogity! Race tracks in Iowa got the green flag to include fans back in the stands.

According to OurQuadCities.com, Davenport Speedway will hold its first races with fans next Friday. Race tracks can operate at 50 percent capacity next week and track promoters say they’re looking forward to seeing people again.

“It’s awesome to get fans back in here,” Ricky Kay, Davenport Speedway track promoter said according to OurQuadCities.com

Shawn Loter, general manager of the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds says his staff will monitor the people in the stands so they’re social distancing but he also hope people will be responsible, spread out and keep a social distance.

The track has been holding races without fans. Managers say they’ve been able to break even financially despite empty stands.
