It's been a great weekend weather wise in the Quad Cities, including the much needed rain. I don't know about you, but when the winds whipped up early Sunday morning, it gave me flashbacks of the derecho. Nothing like that is in the forecast but we can expect more rain and much cooler temps this coming week.

According to our OurQuadCities.com, we can expect 2-3" of rain this week which is unusual for our area. Usually we only see that amount of rain for the whole month of September and that's after the 2-3" of rain we saw on Sunday.

Temps will drop too. We'll see highs only in the 60s for the Quad Cities and parts of eastern Iowa will only see highs in the 50s. Hello fall.

Local 4 News says the rain will move out of the area and temps will get warmer by the weekend.
