I have fond memories sprinkled all throughout the Quad Cities and some of the places I had the most fun, no longer exist. Man, I wish they were still around! Do you remember...
SKATE RANCH in Milan?
I had the best times there! I loved the lighted disco dance floor, the mirror ball and of course, the blaring 80s and 90s music!
When you put wheels beneath my feet, I had dreams of skating like this:

But almost ALWAYS looked like this, hence the reason I stayed on the dance floor!
What about Mr. Fresh drive-thru convenient store?!!
As a busy mama now, I can't tell you how often I wish we'd have those again in the Quad Cities. I remember my Mom picking me up from my half-day Kindergarten class on her lunch hour, driving through a Mr. Fresh and grabbing me a pint of chocolate milk and a Ho-Ho for a snack.
Who could forget the place where so many of us had our childhood movie memories? Showcase Cinemas in Milan!
