One of the great rivalries in sports is baseball's Cubs-Cardinals rivalry. Over the past decades, the Cardinals have always seem to come out on top, if not by winning the games between the two, certainly by racking up some World Series rings.

Now that the Cubs have won the World Series (I know, still hard to believe, isn't it?!) it should be interesting to see how the dynamic of the rivalry changes, if at all.

Your first chance to experience this new reality comes Wednesday, April 5 when a bus trip heads for Busch Stadium in St. Louis for the Cubs at Cardinals contest. The trip is being staged by the Rock Island Parks & Recreation department.

The cost of $115 includes deluxe motorcoach ride to St. Louis (and back too!) and a third baseline seat at Busch Stadium. The bus leaves at 6am and returns 90 minutes after the game.

Sign-up for tickets, and get more info at www.rigov.org and click on “ePark.” You can also call Parks & Rec at 309-732-7275, or drop by the Rock Island Fitness and Activity Center Park office at 4303 24th Street in Rock Island.
