Snow On It’s Way To The QC Wednesday Night

Local meteorologists and the Quad Cities National Weather Service is calling for snow to hit the Quad Cities Wednesday night.

Before anyone gets too panicked, most of the snow will hit central Illinois but we could see a few inches in the QC.

According to the Quad Cities National Weather Service, on Wednesday there will be a 20 percent chance of snow after noon. We'll have mostly cloudy skies during the day, with a high near 30.

Wednesday Night, that is when we will see some snow blanket the Quad Cities. There is a 50 percent chance of snow from a storm moving northeast. We could see snow accumulation ranging from 1 to 3 inches.

Even with not much snow predicted to hit the Quad Cities, roads can become slippery and visibility could be reduced, according to the Quad Cities National Weather Service's Facebook post.

No warnings and advisories have been issued yet, and no early school closings have been announced. We will keep track of the storm with our local weather partner, Local 4 News.
