Stabbing Reported at Bettendorf High School

According to their Facebook page, Bettendorf Police responded to an incident at the high school this morning.

A 15-year old female student reportedly stabbed a 16-year old male student with a knife around 8 a.m.

The victim had minor injuries but was treated at the scene and didn't need to go to the hospital.

The assailant was immediately taken to Scott County Juvenile Detention Center, where she will remain until a hearing tomorrow morning.  She faces multiple charges including Class D Willful Injury and Misdemeanor Assault with a Dangerous Weapon.
