Normally, being #1 at something is a good thing. That's not true in this case. Surprisingly, Illinois has become the tornado capital of America and the numbers so far in 2023 prove that point.

There have been very few weather days quite like what transpired on March 31, 2023. Among the more than 100 confirmed tornadoes was a monster wedge in Keota, Iowa that storm chasers got up-close-and-personal with.

Gusty winds, lightning, and small hail are the primary threats for this evening's storms.

Tornadoes and severe weather caused a lot of damage in north Iowa on Tuesday.

Severe weather is possible across the Quad City area late Wednesday and Wednesday night, especially across eastern Iowa and northwest Illinois.

In Iowa, we must have our priorities. A trending video is a great example. The internet is in disbelief that an Iowa TV station cut away from a golf tournament for tornado coverage.

Some heavy rains, wind and hail could impact the Quad Cities.

The Quad Cities received some much needed rain yesterday, but it was a case of going from one extreme to another.
