You might have to search to find some of these, but consider adding these to your holiday playlists.

This whole album was probably my first introduction to jazz. I always watch the animated show and I always have the whole Vince Guaraldi 'A Charlie Brown Christmas' playing at my house during the holidays.

6. A Charlie Brown Christmas-'Christmas Time is Here'- Vince Guaraldi Trio

I've never been a huge fan of country, but I love me some classic Willie Nelson. I heard this for the first time about 20 years ago and now it's a staple. It's a bit melancholy, but it's a sweet, sentimental favorite.

5. Pretty Paper-Willie Nelson

This is a beautiful song that's about anti-commercialism that became a commercial hit. Here is the EP version. The studio version and Greg Lake's solo version are all good too
4. Father Christmas - Emerson, Lake and Palmer

3. Vince Vance and the Valiants

I was looking for a holiday song to sing for a fundraiser one year and came across this tune. The singer never gets enough credit.  That powerhouse voice is Lisa Layne.

I'm an old school rocker girl at heart, so when I heard this Foghat Christmas tune for the first time, I cranked it. It's fun, upbeat and hasn't been drilled to hell and back. It should be noted this is NOT that awful Mariah Carey version.

2. All I Want For Christmas Is You-Foghat

My brother programs a radio station outside of the Quad City market. One day this song popped up while I was listening to his station. It reminds me of 60s beach music. It's sweet and even a bit sexy.

1. The Christmas Song-Raveonettes
