Although the weather forecast for this weekend looks questionable, you'll get cabin fever if you're stuck inside the house for too long (especially if you have kids).

Venture out to the Putnam Museum and Science Center in Davenport on Saturday the 18th and enjoy free admission. Local News 4 reports the museum is offering free entry to celebrate National Chemistry Day.

Families can observe chemistry experiments throughout the day and learn about careers in the chemistry field as well.

The museum also has a new exhibit called "OMg! Elements of Surprise" where kids can explore the Periodic Table and learn more about the roles of elements.

The free entry includes visits to the museum and science center, but tickets to the movie theater will be available for purchase.
