Hope you enjoyed the mild temps over the weekend, Quad Cities.

A large snow system is moving through the area this week that could really kill our spring fever, reports Local News 4.

A Winter Storm Watch has been issued for the QC starting Monday night at 6 pm, lasting through Wednesday at 12 pm.

So what exactly can we expect in terms of amounts? Monday will start off with rain that turns over into snow by the evening. Heavy snow is expected Tuesday, and snowfall potentials could reach 4 inches or more by Wednesday.

The heaviest band will stretch from Wapello, going Northwest and reaching the QC, Dubuque, Galena, Mount Carroll, and Rockford.

If you have travel plans for Monday night through Wednesday morning, you may want to change them now.

It looks like winter is far from over in the QC.
