Sure, the weather has still felt pretty summer-y around the QC lately, but, unfortunately, that balmy weather will soon be a thing of the past.

WQAD reports that the area's first frost could come as soon as next weekend.

Meteorologist Eric Sorensen says that the last of the summer warmth will take place before Thursday next week. After that, a cold front will come through and our chances of back-to-back 80 degree days are basically gone until spring. (Sorensen does point out, however, that October often has a few, scattered 80 degree days).

The cold front will usher in the first possible frost of the fall for the QCA, so don't be surprised if you wake up to some icy stuff on your pumpkins next weekend. Even though it's about to cool down, we're still forecasted to have better weather conditions than the Dakotas and Minnesota. Those states are expecting (GASP!) their first snowfall next weekend.
