The Village of East Davenport is About to Explode

A taste here and some treatment there, The Village of East Davenport will add some changes.

Imagine the smell of freshly baked goods and the sounds of live music on Saturdays as you enjoy new wine. What about having the convenience of healthcare on Saturdays and Sundays?

Any town loves new business that will drive visits from residents to out-of-towners. The Village of East Davenport is getting ready to welcome three new businesses in the historical area this summer.

According to the QCTimes.com, these three businesses (with more on the way) will be opening soon:

Wide River Winery, with locations in Clinton and LeClaire, is opening a third location this summer at 1128 Mound St. (corner of Mound and 12th).

The Weekend Clinic, a medical clinic staffed by a nurse practitioner, is going into 2107 E. 12th St. (one building in from the northeast corner of Mound and 12th).

Baked, will be a neighborhood bakery going into Woodland Gallery, 1111 Mound St.

If you've ever wanted to live there, you're in luck. 41 apartments will be found at Pierce School Lofts in the Village of East Davenport. None of this surprises me, as this area of Davenport is progressive and trendy in the way that would attract newer and younger customers. But it's old-fashioned, historical feel, keeps the regulars coming in as well.

Change is in the air and new businesses and developments are all in the works, which means more opportunities for you, to have fun in the Quad Cities.
