Is your teen in need of a job? Maybe they'd like to make a little extra cash to pay for their cell phone, car, or save for college. Whatever the reason may be, these Quad Cities stores are willing to hire teens as young as sixteen for retail positions in preparation for the busy holiday season.

According to Hip2Save, JCPenney plans to hire 18,000 temporary workers for positions such as cashier, Sephora beauty consultant, and replenishment specialist. They accept applications from teens 16 and up. Workers receive a generous 25 percent discount.

Kohl's is also hiring teens 17 and older for various customer service positions. Seasonal hires enjoy a 15 percent raise which can be stacked with other coupons.

Although many of these roles are considered seasonal, they may lead to permanent positions.

If your child is interested in applying, they can find more information here.
