After weeks of rain and flooding, the last thing the QC needs is more precipitation.

But according to the Farmer's Almanac, that's exactly what we can expect this summer.

The almanac claims that the Heartland region of the US (which includes all of Iowa and Missouri and parts of Illinois, Minnesota, Kansas, Wisconsin, and South Dakota) can expect lots of thunderstorms and colder than normal weather this summer.

Storms and chilly weather will dominate the end of May and most of June, with things warming up a little by July. Weather is said to level out to "normal" levels by September.

The Farmer's Almanac is not a scientific forecast, so as always, take their predictions with a grain of salt. We're keeping our fingers crossed for warm temps and normal amounts of rainfall this summer in the Quad Cities.
