Luckily, nobody has died following a scary train derailment this morning.

Dozens are injured and three people remain hospitalized after an Amtrak train, en route to Galesburg and Chicago, derailed in western Kansas early this morning.

The train was carrying 131 passengers, most of which luckily escaped unscathed.  However, 32 people were sent to the hospital with various injuries.

Numerous publications, including the Chicago Tribune, are reporting the engineer noticed a significant bend in the rail and applied the emergency brakes before the train when off the rails.
