After finding out about Kevin's emergency appendectomy, we all got quite the scare. I got a text from him less than 24 hours later telling me he is listening to me and the new guy on-air and then he asked two very important questions:

1.) "I am so bored. Can you bring me my computer?" and 2.) "Can you also bring me a Pepsi?"

Check and check. I was on it. I wanted to be able to help if he needed anything. Finding out someone you know has to have an emergency anything, always puts life into perspective. Once you start playing the "what if" game, then it's not a big deal to bring someone a Pepsi. I even asked him if he preferred fountain or bottled?

I didn't have the best luck with it though. After stopping at three different gas stations and there only being Coke products, I finally got a big cup of ice for him and purchased a Pepsi in a bottle. At least we could pretend that it was from a fountain. (Soda drinkers: Is there really a difference between fountain and bottled?)

When I showed up, this is what I found:

To top it off, he was working and on the phone with record reps soon after I got there! This man never stops working. I couldn't believe it. But on a second-thought, I could believe it. One thing is for sure; Kevin lives and breathes radio and loves what he does.
