[WATCH] Brett Eldredge Shares His Hometown in Illinois

Little known fact about me. I used to work in a small town near Paris, IL. when I first started in country music radio. I did the morning show at WMCI and one of the small towns in the area, was right where Brett Eldredge grew up! How old was he when he was a listener?

And yes, I am guessing that he was a listener. I will confirm someday when I meet him. I can make a pretty accurate guesstimate because it was THE station in town. There were others, but trust me, when you see his small town and compare it our small towns, they are pretty much the same. I also figured out that Brett was right around 14 years old when I was doing the morning show there.  Weird, huh?!  I can't wait to interview him and walk down memory lane together.

I love that his new album is titled after the state he grew up in. If there is one thing I have learned from country music artists through the years, it's that they very rarely forget where they came from.
