It's winter in the midwest- snow is inevitable.

Still, we would have been perfectly happy to not have back-to-back weekend snowstorms.

Unfortunately, Local News 4 reports that a Winter Storm Watch has been issued for our entire area this weekend.

So what can we expect this time around? Snow will begin sometime tomorrow (Friday) afternoon, but the bulk of the heavy snow will come overnight Friday into Saturday morning. As of right now, the QC is on the edge between 4-6 inches and 6-8. Local News 4 says we can easily expect 6.

Another drawback to this storm will be the 20-30 MPH wind gusts. The wind could lead to some serious blowing and drifting, even after the snow stops falling.

Bottom line? Grab your groceries before tomorrow night. It's gonna be a long and cold weekend.
