Do you remember life before Facebook? One of the most trending hashtags today on social media is #BeforeFacebookI.

People everywhere are reminiscing about what life was like before all of us got addicted to Mark Zuckerberg's creation.

I joined Facebook in 2007 at the age of 16.  I still had a MySpace account at the time as well.

Before I got hooked, I didn't even have a cell phone.  So I had to call my friend's house phones in order to meet up with them or talk.

Another way me and my friends communicated was AOL Instant Messenger (AIM).  When you were away from your computer you could set an "away message".  If you left one with a quote or open-ended phrase, people would ask "What's your away message about?" the next day at school.

Also, if I set a time to meet someone at the movies or a friend's house, I felt obligated to be there at that time because there was no way to change plans last-minute.

So, how was your life different before Facebook?
