4th of July is here which also means so are the fireworks. Okay, maybe you have already heard fireworks going off for a couple of weeks now to celebrate in your area... let's face it, it's a summertime tradition. Here's a question though... what states use the most fireworks?

I have heard a lot of fireworks going off in Iowa recently so if you asked me this question I probably would say that Iowa has to be at the top of that list, but I would be wrong. According to a new study from Zippia, Iowa didn't even make the top 10 list for the states that set off the most fireworks. Actually, the number one spot went to Missouri whom imports and sets off about 42 million fireworks each year.

So where did Iowa land? Iowa got spot number twenty-eight for setting off fireworks. I mean not too bad but with all the fireworks I have heard/seen lately, I definitely would have suspected higher on the list of states than halfway. According to Zippia, Iowa imports and sets off around 1,300,000 fireworks every year. Now there are other factors that went into determining this which you can find in the article but I feel like we need to step up our game Iowa!
