Who Will Be Blake Shelton’s Date at the CMA’s Tonight?

Tonight is the hottest night in country music and Blake Shelton is up for 2 CMAs. Who will be on his arm on the red carpet as he attends the 49th Annual Country Music Awards?

Will our night guy bringing the red carpet action and interviews tonight, Sam Alex, be in a pickle on the red carpet if Blake actually brings Gwen Stefani as his date? As a DJ, I know I'd feel a bit awkward, but I'd still manage to flame the fan girl for some questions and just try to avoid the obvious elephant in the room. Sam Alex is a pro and I know he's going to do fabulous. Be sure to follow him starting at 5 p.m. on 104.9 The Hawk when he brings the excitement. No doubt, pardon the pun, Gwen Stefani and Blake are friends. How can you NOT be when you work so closely together? I get it. I've had closer male friends, especially in this industry. I also roll my eyes when people ask if my guy friends are a "couple" or "together," so I get it.  But....

Gwen was pretty coy about her relationship with Blake in a recent interview:

They were together on Halloween and the reports and gossip keeps coming.

TMZ reported (I know, I know, I've been reduced to using TMZ as an actual source, but hey, they broke the Miranda/Blake divorce, so I have to give some credit there) Gwen is already in Nashville. Either way, I am certain there will be pics tomorrow!!

This much I do know:

* IF there is something going on, they are definitely doing their best to keep it on the down low and I don't blame them. Although, their attempts aren't very good lately. Gwen is doing the girlie thing in interviews of swooning and complimenting but also avoids answering direct questions.
