Live on the Iowa side of the Quad Cities? Good, stay put.

That's according to a recent report by WalletHub that ranks Iowa as the fourth best state in the US to retire. The Des Moines Register breaks down the report: each state is ranked by affordability, health care, and quality of life, then further broken down by access to public transportation, number of physicians, and so on.

Iowa is number 9 in health care, 11th in quality of life, and 26th for affordability, averaging at the number four spot.

But if you don't feel like sticking around Iowa, there are other good options. Florida grabbed the top spot, with Colorado and South Dakota taking second and third, respectively.

And the places you shouldn't retire to (at least, according to this report)? Kentucky comes in at dead last, with New Jersey and Rhode Island right behind it.

As for Illinois, it scores somewhat low on the list, coming in at number 31, mostly because of a low affordability rate.
