Why Are Those Message Boards Blank on I-74?

Those light up boards on I-74 that usually say "Click it or Ticket" or inform us of traffic issues ahead have been blank over the past couple weeks.  So why?

With the new construction happening on the bridge, IDOT is currently monitoring traffic jams to see how long travel times take depending on how heavy the traffic.

IDOT says they'd like to start posting estimated travel times on the message boards, but only want to do so when they get the analytics back from their research.

No word on when we can expect these messages to appear on the boards.
