An Iowa-turned-Minnesota woman has been reunited with her missing dog after she recognized her on a beer can.

Monica Mathis said she was just scrolling through Facebook when she came across a story about adoptable dogs having their faces put on beer cans.

She said she saw one of the dogs and thought, "Oh my gosh, that looks like my dog, Hazel!"

Mathis said the dog looked like a dog she helped deliver during her birth. A member of the family said Hazel disappeared from their home in Iowa in 2017. Monica said she searched everywhere for the dog, and called a number of shelters.

She immediately contacted the number for the shelter the dogs on the cans were at, and with an exchange of paperwork and thanks to the microchip, got her dog back.

Hazel's trip home is being paid for by Friends of Manatee County Animal Services.

Beer fixes everything.
