I fell in love with my house the minute I first laid eyes on it 16 years ago because of one feature: the eight-foot deep covered porch that runs across the front of the house.

I spend a lot of time out there when the weather allows, and even sometimes when it doesn't, all bundled up.

Only one thing spoils my evenings on my porch at this time of year: gnats. Annoying little bugs that seem to love to fly up your nose, linger in your hair, or dive into your eyes. Hate 'em.

I've tried many products to get rid of them, and there is only one thing I've found that works. It's called Bug Soother. It comes in a little green bottle, and I found it at Hy-Vee a few years ago. I swear by it, and I just discovered it is made in Columbus Junction.

The mom-and-pop business has grown incredibly thanks to their 'family recipe' for ridding pests, shipping Bug Soother around the world now.

Our friend John David from WQAD News 8 has all the details below. In the meantime, I'm putting on some Bug Soother.
