Meet Our US 104.9 Pet Of The Week

Another week means another great pet spotlight! We here at US 104.9 have teamed up with UScellular and the Humane Society of Scott County to bring you the pet of the week! We spotlight a different pet looking for a forever home every week.

Another awesome thing about this event is that UScellular is donating $50 each week to the Humane Society for our pet of the week. It's always great to see!

The Pet Of The Week

Meet our 104.9 pet of the week, Gunner

Gunner is such a sweet boy who LOVES balls, stuffy toys, and any squeaky toys you’ll let him have. He also loves to play fetch, tug and chase!

Gunner is also crate-trained and potty trained too! He’ll use a soft bark to let you know when he needs to potty. In his last home he was often left to free roam the house while his owners were gone and did well, but crating the first few weeks could be a good tool until he’s used to his new home. We do always tell people that dogs might need a bit to adjust to their new home and schedule, so to have patience. ❤️

We do know that Gunner lived with cats and did well! We haven’t gotten a chance to do a meet and greet with dogs yet, but we think he has the potential to do well with other dogs with a proper introduction.

Gunner can be weary of new people, and men, but he hasn’t lived with a man to get a chance to get comfortable with one yet. We think with time, he’d warm up just fine!

Also, heads up, but Gunner loves to talk to people in his meet and greets! But don’t worry, he’s just trying to get you up to date on all the latest dog gossip at the shelter… cause with 70 + dogs talking all day, there’s sure to be a ton!

Stop by during our adoption hours and ask to meet Gunner while all fees are waived with our Empty the Shelters event running through December 17th!
